Axé Academy Inc (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates Axé Capoeira Chicago and Escola de Samba Chicago, with studios in Chicago (West Town) and Rolling Meadows, Illinois. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you submit a trial signup or contact form, we collect your first and last name, phone number, email address, and preferred studio location. If you become a student, we also collect information needed to manage your membership, class bookings, attendance, and payments.
We may automatically collect standard technical information when you visit our website, such as browser type, device type, and pages viewed.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, schedule and confirm trial classes and orientation sessions, follow up about your trial, manage memberships and class bookings, process payments, and send occasional updates about programs and schedules.
SMS and text messaging
If you tick the SMS consent checkbox on our signup form, you agree to receive text messages from us about your $39 intro trial, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-up.
SMS consent is not required to submit the form or to become a student, and it is never a condition of purchase. The checkbox is unchecked by default and entirely optional.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance, or call us at (773) 974-8988.
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers and consent information are shared only with the service providers who help us deliver messages on our behalf — for example our CRM and telecommunications providers — and those providers are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
We do not purchase, rent, or use third-party lead lists.
If you provide an email address, we may email you about your trial, your membership, class schedules, and school news. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the school — including our CRM and communications platform, payment processor, and class management software — and only to the extent needed to provide those services. We may disclose information where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember basic preferences, understand how visitors use our site, and improve your browsing experience. This may include standard analytics tools that collect information such as pages viewed, time on site, and browser/device type. Children
Many of our students are minors. Where a student is under 18, we collect their information from a parent or guardian, and all communications about that student are directed to the parent or guardian.
