These terms govern your use of the websites and services of Axé Academy Inc, operator of Axé Capoeira Chicago and Escola de Samba Chicago.
Our programs
We offer capoeira and Brazilian dance instruction for children and adults at our Chicago (West Town) and Rolling Meadows studios. Class schedules and program offerings may change.
Intro trial
Our intro program is offered at $39 and includes an orientation session plus two weeks of group classes, as described at the time of signup. The trial is intended for new students. Trial spots are subject to availability and are not confirmed until payment is received and a class is booked.
Payment and refunds
Trial fees and membership dues are payable in advance. Contact us directly to discuss refunds; we consider requests case by case.
Communications
By providing your phone number and ticking the SMS consent checkbox, you agree to receive text messages from us about your trial, including scheduling and follow-up. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for assistance.
By providing your email address, you agree to receive emails about your enquiry, trial, and membership. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Participation, safety, and assumption of risk
Martial arts and dance involve physical activity and carry inherent risks of injury. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and confirm that you — or the student in your care — are in adequate physical condition to participate. Students and guardians are required to complete our waiver before their first class.
Conduct
We ask all students and visitors to treat instructors, fellow students, and the studios with respect. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service for conduct that is unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful.
Photography and media
We sometimes photograph or film classes, performances, and events for promotional use. Tell us in writing if you prefer that you or your child not appear in such material.
Intellectual property
Website content, including text, images, and logos, belongs to Axé Academy Inc and may not be reproduced without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, Axé Academy Inc is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from participation in our programs or use of our website.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
SMS Messaging Terms
